From the first official event launched in 2012, West Bay Days has been run by a dedicated group of community volunteers who all share a singular mission: To run the very best FREE TO ATTEND local events for our community and visitors’ to enjoy, and invest back into the community by raising funds to distribute to local groups and charities.

Situated on Dorset’s historic Jurassic Coast, West Bay is a vibrant harbour community located just 1 mile from the market town of Bridport, with the towns of Lyme Regis to the West and Weymouth to the East.

With its iconic sandstone cliffs and stunning coastline made famous by TV series such as Broadchurch and Harbour Lights… West Bay has become a must visit destination for beach-goers, walkers, foodies and holidaymakers.

West Bay Days currently runs 4 exciting and very popular events suitable for the whole family. From PIRATES WEEKEND in the Spring, leading to WEST BAY WEEKEND in the Summer, to BONFIRE BY THE BEACH in the Autumn, ending with our CHRISTMAS TREE celebration in the Winter.

From the running of our own bar, BBQ and stalls, voluntary donations, the sponsorship of our events by local businesses and individuals… To the rental of trading space during our events to stall holders, food vendors and family attractions… All enables West Bay Days to raise funds to distribute to our Beneficiaries.

A new set of applicants are chosen each year by our selection committee and are a mixture of local community groups and charities. We are delighted that fundraising has increased year on year through the popularity of our events. As a result, in 2025 we were able to distribute over £30,000 to our Beneficiaries which is a fantastic achievement.
